KIRA MORRISON is an experienced vocalist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  She graduated with her Bachelors in Vocal Performance from Los Angeles College of Music in 2018, and has performed in LA with groups as The Satin Dollz, Jingle Five, and her own jazz quartet, Kira & The Major 3.  A versatile vocalist, Kira sings in a variety of genres, including pop, jazz, musical theater, and R&B.  Before the age of 25, Kira has already worked with acts such as NIKI (International pop artist signed to 88 Rising), Aubrey Logan (Postmodern Jukebox), Adam Levy (Norah Jones), Gordon Goodwin (Grammy award-winning composer/arranger), Matt Bennett ('Victorious'), Donny Most ('Happy Days'), and Becky Martin.  In addition to singing, she also plays acoustic guitar and accompanies herself for solo performances in companies such as Jam With Jamie, and at local casinos, restaurants, and bars, including San Manuel Casino and Westfield Century City.  In December of 2020, Kira released Star Anise (EP), a collection of four original songs she wrote and produced herself, currently available on all streaming platforms.

Kira has been singing and playing guitar since the age of ten.  She first began expanding her knowledge of music with the help of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a local non-profit music school (co-founded by bassist Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers).  Starting off as a camper at their summer music camps, she has since continued to work with them for several years as a teacher's assistant for their music classes, summer camps, and choir ensembles.  Kira's time at Hollywood High School also helped her find the inspiration to pursue a career in music.  She sung with her school's classical and show choirs along with performing in various musical theatre productions.  Around this time, she also began writing songs and performing acoustic shows at local venues such as the House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe, and The Nerdist Showroom, along with recording and releasing her debut EP 'Progressions' in March of 2014.

After Kira graduated from Hollywood High School, she began her first year at Los Angeles College of Music in 2014 as a vocal performance major, where she had the honor of studying various genres of singing with talented voice teachers such as Tierney Sutton, Kacee Clanton, Carol Weslman, and Sara Leib.  As a student, she continued to perform as a singer/songwriter at local venues such as Republic of Pie, Room 5 Lounge, Boardner's Hollywood, Kulak’s Woodshed, The Grafton (Bar 20), The Dresden, and The Coffee Gallery.  Later, she would go on to form her new jazz group Kira & The Major 3, who have gone on to perform at venues and events such as the Pasadena Summer Jazz Concert Series, Pasadena ARTwalk, Castle Green, and Edwin Mills.  And, in 2017, she was selected out of college students all over the country to be one of the top 4 finalists in Grammy U's 2017 Rock the Mic showcase at the Ivar Theater.

Kira graduated as Valedictorian from Los Angeles College of Music in 2018 and has since been focusing on her career as a freelance vocalist and performer.  She has joined and performed with established companies such as The Satin DollzPHNX Wing (which includes groups such as Jingle 5, Deadbeats, and Vox Harmonix), and The Goode Time Carolers.  She also regularly performs and teaches as a singer/guitarist with the nationwide children's entertainment company, Jam With Jamie.

Aside from performing with these groups and companies, Kira loves singing on stage and in the studio as a solo performer and background vocalist.  She regularly performs solo acoustic gigs at local restaurants and private events, and also sings background vocals for artists such as Allene Quincy and Emily Pfannschmidt.  And, in her spare time, Kira also writes and performs her own original songs (her most recent original music release is Star Anise - EP).
